Meraux Foundation and St. Bernard Economic Development Foundation partner to support innovation, growth in the Parish

The Arlene and Joseph Meraux Charitable Foundation announced today that it has named Blaise Pezold as Coastal and Environmental Program Manager.

The 5th Annual Blues, Brews and BBQ in da Parish will feature local barbecue masters, breweries, and musicians. The free festival will be held Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017 from 11 a.m to 6 p.m. at the Meraux Foundation’s Docville Farm (5124 E St Bernard Hwy, Violet, LA 70092).

The Arlene and Joseph Meraux Charitable Foundation recently donated $20,000 to the Community Center of St. Bernard to help feed the hungry in St. Bernard Parish.

On Thursday, CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) became a permanent part of the St. Bernard Parish judicial system with the swearing in of six new advocates and a renewed commitment of financial support from the Arlene and Joseph Meraux Charitable Foundation.

Far down near the end of Delacroix Highway, dozens of proud parish residents gathered on Thursday to celebrate the opening of a new pier that was made possible through a generous donation of land by the Arlene and Joseph Meraux Charitable Foundation.

A new bike trail is being constructed along the levee top in St. Bernard Parish, providing amazing recreational opportunities for residents and visitors alike–all while helping boost the local economy. Thanks in part to a generous donation of both land and funds from the Arlene and Joseph Meraux Charitable Foundation, the project is moving from concept to reality.

The largest rural lifestyle retail store in the U.S. will be opening a location in St. Bernard Parish later this fall thanks in part to the efforts of the Arlene and Joseph Meraux Charitable Foundation and the St. Bernard Economic Development Foundation (SBEDF).

As Tropical Storm Cindy barreled across Louisiana, educators from the headwaters of the Mississippi River in Minnesota and from the delta here in Louisiana gathered in St. Bernard Parish for the third annual Waters to the Sea® Mississippi River Delta Institute last week.

Awards 60 Scholarships – Academic, Arts, and Vocational-Technical – to St. Bernard Parish Students

A group of volunteers from various agencies and businesses, including the Meraux Foundation, planted 1,000 black mangrove trees in the eastern Biloxi Marsh.

AgMagic on the River is a collaboration between the Meraux Foundation and the LSU AgCenter
